Welcome to the Homepage of the Atlantic Surfers' Organization (ASO)

Established in 1996, the Atlantic Surfers' Organization (ASO) is a nonprofit organization dedicated to promoting education and commitment to the sport of surfing through:  activities and social events; structured skills improvement and ocean-education programs; an annual college scholarship. Whether providing a classroom education about ocean mechanics, a scholarship to a surfer who has dedicated him/herself to surfing, a hands-on clinic on how to repair a surfboard, or giving an 80-year old a surfing lesson, the ASO has been working hard for years to fulfill its mission. The ASO is particularly known in South Jersey for its positive work to represent surfing to the cities and communities in which its activities occur, and for promoting positive and productive relationships between surfers and their communities.
